Columbia Angel Network

The Columbia Angel Network (CAN) is a non-profit group of Columbia University alumni interested in investing in Columbia-affiliated early stage ventures. We operate as a subsidiary of the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of NY.

Mission

• Support Columbia University affiliated entrepreneurs and their companies while developing the Columbia venture community

• Create opportunities for angel investors to connect with attractive investments, build relationships within the Columbia community, and engage with innovative new companies and founders

• Educate the Columbia venture community through mentorship and advice

Structure

• Available to all university schools alumni and current students; operating under the CBS Alumni Club of NY (a 501(c)6 non-profit organization)

• Led by an advisory council of alumni

• Members invest directly into startups without carried interest / management fees (no pooled fund or syndicate)
